The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.

Proverbs 28:1

Here’s the full article by Christina Ang, republished and unedited in its original context. I’m not sure why, but apparently she conspicuously took down the article that she posted today on her Facebook account, rightly after I published a new post several hours ago, to counter her allegations of people gossiping against her and her husband.

Now I get it; dealing with false preachers is like getting involved in a game of cat and mouse chase. Just as there’s no truth in them, they could not even stand by what they themselves have written or said. Let’s see if she dare to deny that she wrote this!

WHOSE REPORT WILL YOU BELIEVE!
How can one believe if the truth is not told?

By Christina Ang

Romans 10:14-16

14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who brings glad tidings of good things!”

16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”

17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

There are many kinds of reports, tales and news. Sadly many of these gossips are juicy but are not properly validated. One must be careful not only what one hears but how one hears. Try to find out why that gossip is created? What is truth and what is lies? Also one needs to know what is half truths. Because half truths are deceptions and they are dangerous. I recall Pontus Pilate’s discourse with Jesus in John 18:37-38

37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”

Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I SHOULD BEAR WITNESS TO THE TRUTH. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

38 Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.

What is truth?

Jesus said He is THE Truth in John 14:6 in his reply to Thomas.

5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, ‘I am THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

‘NO ONE comes to the Father EXCEPT THROUGH ME’ simply means Jesus is the mediator. Jesus is the mediator of the New Covenant which is extended to anyone who dares to believe in Him.

In this covenant of God – Jesus becomes the sacrificial lamb at the altar of sacrifice. When the sacrifice is laid upon the altar, it has to be one that is pure and without blemish. Jesus is God who came in the form of human flesh (John1:14) and His human blood is a holy DNA. There is no sin in His blood. His blood was spilled on the cross – which is the worst and the most wicked punishment of mankind on the cross. That heavy penalty was paid because the wages of sin is death. We had to pay for our sins but Jesus paid our sins on our behalf.

Romans 6:23- For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

That is why we should value the price He paid for us. That’s not all on the 3rd day He rose again to life. Jesus gave us the gift of God ie Eternal life in Christ

Hebrews 10:4-14 says

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.

5 Therefore, when He (Jesus) came into the world, He said:

“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a ut a body You have prepared for Me.
6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come—

IN THE VOLUME OF THE BOOK IT IS WRITTEN OF ME
To do Your will, O God.’ ”

8 Previously saying, “Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them” (which are offered according to the law),

9 then He said, “Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God.”

He takes away the first (covenant) that He may establish the second.

10 By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

12 But this Man (Jesus), after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool.

14 For by one offering He (Jesus) has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Yes the sacrifice paid was not cheap but costly. It cost Jesus’ own body to be laid as a sacrifice. Therefore we have to treasure and value what He had done on the cross for us. We cannot afford to gloat in sinful pleasures and be buried in the iniquities of gossip, slander, murder, wrath, evil speaking, fornication and lies. The whole list of the works of the flesh is mentioned in

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,

21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I underlined some of the works of the flesh mentioned that some don’t realize the severity of it. Of course murders, lying fornication and adultery are serious but be informed that the fact that one believes wrongly and indulges in a hateful contentious way, one is risking one’s own salvation.

Furthermore, once you are saved by the confession of your mouth of the sinner’s prayer it doesn’t automatically pave a way for your salvation. Your way of living and your deeds qualifies what you have said. Mind you, you can never lie to God. He knows your heart and motives more than you yourself know it.

If you say the sinner’s prayer but want your old ways, your deeds overwrite your words. That is why it is not simply saying with the mouth that one is saved. One has to believe what one says.

Romans 10:10

‘For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation..’

Repentance is turning away from your old evil ways like idolatry, revenge, hatred etc.

Hebrews 10:28-31

28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. (THIS IS THE OLD COVENANT)

29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? (THIS IS NEW COVENANT)

30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.”

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

It is commonly believed that the old covenant is stricter and the new more relaxed in it’s punishment, however that’s not what is taught in the Bible. Grace of God takes us to a higher level where we have the power to overcome sin and having no pleasure in it. As we walk with Christ, we take on His divine nature and the love of God within us makes us more than a conqueror.

However if one made up one’s mind to indulge in sin, God though in His patience may warn him numerous times but will STILL let that one make his own choice. With the wrong choice comes the heavy penalty of his sin because he knew and yet decided to trampled the sacrifice of Christ underfoot.

There is an incident of a fallen man of God almost 30 years ago who was once a father figure to me. It ached in my heart then to see him fall. Though through many prophetic words, warnings were given privately to him, he persisted in his iniquity. He would have been a real mighty man of God with ministry of signs and wonders but sadly the shame he brought is still felt today. The glory of his ministry was removed. It became an Ichabod!

That was not all, the sin he committed though seemingly consensual at that point of time, later came across differently putting all the 5 deputies and the council who handled the matter in a bad light. The church was in debt of 3 million for renovation cost of a rented building. The rental for one month was 28,000 and was in arrears for 6 months. There were other loans and the church accounts were all in red when that man left.

When God spoke to Pr Paul Ang to pastor the church, it was hard for us to obey as it is not easy to clean up a mess. Only a fool would want to pastor a church that has heavy debts. Through much prayer the Lord gave wisdom to settle all the loans and clear all the debts. When all was settled and the church was blessed with a premises paid by cash with sufficient surplus in the bank, we resigned as our job was done.

Then some smart aleck Tom decided some one must take the blame and wrote a lengthy mocking story of it all. Little did he know that one man or a pastor cannot handle the church finances. There are 2-3 signatories and every expenses or withdrawals for expenses are with consensus with the church council which is a group of smart and godly people.

That was why the shrewd fallen man of God convinced the people to tithe to him and not the church so he managed to drain the finances without touching church accounts. Shall I say most of us were gullible and didn’t stop to think why was there a separate envelope for him? We trusted him and didn’t check the church accounts and the other account where money was put in, like most concerned people would. When the truth was revealed the people were very cautious and though we ourselves were not taking a salary, we felt scrutinized throughout our term of pastoring the church.

I wondered then if that Tom was the fallen man of God or one who is in cahoots with him. To make it more spicy, one who had no clue of it all took that story and made it a juicy gossip. Even to an extent of claiming a living pastor as dead.

You see when those who are talking about a past incident of a few decades ago are hiding in the dark as anonymous, how can anyone believe them? Can you believe an anonymous person? An anonymous doesn’t need to have any integrity as no one knows him. That’s how lies and deception take preeminence and since some people love juicy gossip they are hooked into deception.

Jesus is different! Jesus boldly reveals Himself and testifies of the Father with no fear because Jesus Christ is the truth!! Let us be bold in speaking the truth because we are not in darkness but in the light.
