And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.

Matthew 7:3-5

Good day and greetings to you, in name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This letter is penned, to highlight your unsought involvement, in a matter that has nothing to do with you, and a final call to mind your own business.

Don’t Be An Uninvited Busybody

Before you get involve in other people’s affairs and start teaching what you believe are Biblical principles, first take a look at your own self, and set your own house in proper order.

If you call on others to repent, take heed that you yourself must have first repented, so that you can set good examples for others to imitate. Repentance leads to revival and deliverance, therefore if repentance is evident in your conduct, others should see the fruits of the Spirit and results of repentance in your life, and they will not hesitate to follow your good examples.

Otherwise, you should be going back to the people in your own lifetime, particularly those whom you might have offended, and begin by planning how you are going to reach out to them, in order to seek repentance. If you have stolen from anyone, return back what you have stolen. If you have lied, admit your wrongdoing and make corrective statements, to put the truth back into motion. If you have divorced your wife, go back to her and seek reconciliation. Apologize, say sorry, and do whatever is needful in order to assuage with your victims, before they drag you to full trials on your judgment day.

Repentance is not simply about confessing to God in prayer, and then expecting the problems you have created to vanish on its own. True repentance requires restoration, followed by a full change of heart not to commit sin again. Repentance is acknowledging and accounting for our own deeds in the past, things we’ve done that requires correction. Repentance puts us on the right note with Christ, and is prelude to our salvation.

Wrongful Teachings Will Land You In Trouble

But far more atrocious than mistaking the merits for true salvation, is when one teach others to do the same as he does, when he himself is explicitly in the wrong. James warned the untamed tongue, that let not many be teachers, knowing that teachers will receive a stricter judgment. (James 3:1)

This includes getting involve in disputes between brothers and sisters, and trying to make resolutions within the confines of your own ways. By interfering in a matter that is none of your concern, and bringing your wrongful teachings into it, you shall soon be proliferating your own wages of sins. On your judgment day, you will be treated as a teacher and you shall be judged more strictly than others.

For the past three and a half years, there have been too many inconsistencies coming from you. From siding and appeasing law-breakers, to spot on calling what is good as evil, you have demonstrated very little competence with your doings. Neither were you useful to those whom you believe you are attempting to help – they were never corrected, never repented and never got out from the pits they dug and fallen into, as a result of transgressions originating from their own doings.

Your method which you think is good for everyone is nothing more than worthless empathy for people suffering due to their refusal to be responsible for their own wrongful deeds. In fact, you made it even worse for them, by assuring carnal minds that God has forgiven them according to your terms, and that they should have faith in what you told them, that some day, all their punishment shall go away.

By your own misconception, you gave them false hopes. When they do not see improvement in their lives, they thought God has abandoned them.

Then you made and drew ugly gestures by calling out lawful accusers as people inspired by the devil. And you teach others to think and act exactly like you. This is a very serious matter, and your assumptions made without earnest understanding to both sides of the dispute, immediately displaced you as a blatant blasphemer, and a person who talks without thinking.

If you continue with your mischief, you will certainly land yourself in a lot more predicaments, including troubles that will be directly related to your own well-being. Make no mistake, this is not a threat to you. Nobody in this world has the authority to wish anything bad upon you, and at the same time, possessing powers to magically make it happen against you. However, there are countless examples recorded in the Bible, where sinners and busybodies are punished by God. I’ll leave it you to find out on your own, that when God fights, he will undermine His adversaries from inside out. There’s no escape for His targets.

This is real power and real things that our God will do to carnal men. The things happening to the people inside the church that you think you are helping, is clear evidence of our God engaged in battle against evil. Just as God’s love is extreme, His hate for sin is also extreme. And standing in God’s way when He is cleaning up the evil in men, is going to become your most stupid, and most costly mistake in life.

But more impudently, you are opening the doors for others to question your deeds, and putting your own salvation as stake. Remember this; sins that often require repentance, usually occur between two or more persons. If you deliberately get involve with people, and as a result more offenses are created, you will be adding to your own list of trespasses that someday you will have to stand and answer for.

Salvation At Stake

Jesus Christ made this very clear in the Scripture, after a rich young ruler asked, what must he do in order for him to attain eternal life. JESUS ANSWERED WITH CONSPICUOUS AFFIRMATION, THAT HE MUST KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS. Jesus never once mentioned that acceptance of His stature as the Son of God, is sufficient quality. Jesus went on to explain in greater detail by saying, do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, honor our father and mother, and to love our neighbor as our self. SECONDLY, JESUS SAID, TO BE PERFECT, go sell and give to the poor, then to follow Him. (Matthew 19:16-22) He did not say, to attain eternal life, one must be perfect.

By His own words, Jesus made the distinction between qualifying for eternal life and being perfect. In my honest opinion, I don’t think it is mandatory to be perfect like God in order to qualify for salvation. Rather, what is compulsory and cannot be compromised is the adherence to His Commandments.

As citizens of this world, we lead different lives respectively. Some are near perfect, some are not. Some take God’s Commandments seriously, while some believe such obedience is old fashioned, and not necessary anymore in present times. Therefore, the world is made up of the righteous, the unrighteous, and as well as those whom are trying to be righteous, but thought they never could.

As such, to do what is right (a.k.a. to be righteous), one must initially be aware and have full knowledge of what Jesus had said, and acknowledge that His opinions are right. Then it follows, that we are to do what He had said, of which is right. Righteousness is essentially about doing what is right, according to God’s terms. This is the gist of following and to be in full submission to Christ. This is how we love Christ, by obeying His Commandments (John 14:15).

Likewise, by applying the precepts of obeying God’s Commandments and doing it to others, is the basis of how we are to love one another. For example, if we love our wife and family, we do not steal from them, we do not lie to them and we do not commit adultery behind their backs. We don’t do such things, because these offenses will hurt them and make them lose confidence in us. More critically, if we do such things against others, we will disappoint God. Doing such things, is opposite to love.

Therefore, if one desires eternal life, he must conduct himself according to God’s Commandments, which is right in the sight of God. Next, whether you wish to bring yourself further into God’s state of perfection, is entirely up to you. By His own words, Jesus most likely implied that to be perfect like God is a matter of choice, and have no bearings on the qualification for eternity. IT IS NOT A SIN IF ONE IS NOT PERFECT. IT IS NOT A SIN IF ONE IS NOT INVOLVED WITH CHARITY. BUT IT IS SINFUL, IF WE LIE OR IF WE CHEAT OR IF WE COMMIT ADULTERY.

It takes a lot from a person, to sell whatever he has, in order to attain Godly perfection. Many people probably won’t be able to do this. But if you believe that performing such good works to others will qualify you for salvation, while on the contrary you retained a sinful life, then ending up on the wrong side of your expectations, is the one thing that is most certain to happen to you.

What Christians (including you) are doing in churches today, are nothing more than treating good works as the means that will lead them to eternity’s end. While they claim that they are saved by declaring their allegiance to Christ, they also confidently assure themselves that the more they attend church meets, or the more they serve the church (thinking that they are serving God), they shall soon be going to heaven.

They speak about revival, but revives nothing. They talk about deliverance, but delivers nothing. And they declare restoration, but restores nothing. They draw near to God only with their mouths, and honors Him only with their lips. (Isaiah 29:13)

Notice To Cease & Desist

Take notice, that this will be my final note of caution, that unless you stay off the way and mind your own business, you will be treated as a party to the ongoing dispute, the consequences of which is for you alone to bear. Again, you are reminded to look at the plank in your own eye before you complain about the speck in others. (Matthew 7:3-5)

BUT IF YOU WISH TO PLAY THE ROLE AS CHIEF ARBITER, FIRST REMOVE WHAT IS BLOCKING YOUR SIGHT, SO THAT YOU CAN SEE CLEARLY BEFORE YOU ACT. FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, DO WHAT IS WISE AND NOT WHAT IS FOOLISH.
