But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know, that no fornicator, unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore, do not be partakers with them.

Ephesians 5:3-7

For John came to preach the message of repentance, he came neither eating nor drinking, and they say he has a demon. Christ came eating and drinking, and they say He is a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of sinners (Matthew 11:18-19). No truth ever impresses the human heart. In them, is found only attempts to obstruct the truth and dark desires to pervert it.

Jesus went on to describe the state of this generation, likening them to children sitting in marketplaces and being dead in their spirit and soul, as to the calling of the Baptist and the Son of Man Himself.

And He went on further to warn those in cities who had been rebuked and seen mighty works of the Lord, but yet they did not repent. Tyre and Sidon were cities that never heard the gospel and the Lord pictured them as cities that it will be tolerable for them in the day of judgment, than those who heard the gospel and seen the mighty things done by Him. And like Capernaum, churches that are exalted to heaven by men, will be brought down to hell. But it gets even more scary; Jesus said it will be more tolerable for Sodom in the day of judgment than for those who have heard the message of truth, the gospel and calling for repentance, but never repented.

In His prayer to God, Jesus revealed the state of affairs that will lead recalcitrant sinners to their destruction; that it was the Lord Himself who have hidden heavenly things from those who claim they are wise and prudent. Thus, the blind and the unseeing eyes will not understand what He meant when He said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.”

Perversion Straight From The Pulpit

“We don’t understand a lot of things about the spiritual world. Sometimes, there are spiritual forces TRYING TO BLOCK OUR BLESSINGS. But if we pray faithfully, the bad spiritual forces will be defeated and the blessings will flow to us.” said David Lee from the pulpit of The City Of Praise Rawang, yesterday.

Firstly, David Lee acknowledged that there are many spiritual things from the spiritual world that he did not understand. However, isn’t that what a preacher is expected to have knowledge of? If he does not understand spiritual things, what then is he teaching the rest? He claimed he was called by God into service, therefore didn’t God revealed any spiritual things to him at all?

While he stated that he don’t understand a lot of things about the spiritual world, but somehow he appeared certain that it was spiritual forces that blocked him and his church from God’s blessings. And this gets even more bizarre; his statement is the same as saying there are other forces in this universe that are more powerful than God, to the extent that they are capable of blocking the intents of God trying to bless them, as David Lee claimed. But it is even more mind boggling when those spiritual forces obstructing blessings that he claimed is rightfully theirs, is not from another world but ordinary men from the same world as his; mere humans who questioned his integrity and told him not to abide in sin. And by the wry logic of his statement, he is also implying that these ordinary men are also more powerful than God that they have the ability to obstruct what God desires doing.

And he went on to encourage the flock to continue to pray faithfully (for blessings), and to pray until the bad spiritual forces that are against them are defeated, and they get their ultimate prize of God’s blessings. These are the Gentiles mentioned by Christ; those who prayed and heap up with empty phrases, and they thought they will be heard for their many words (Matthew 6:7).

Essentially, what this preacher is doing, is nothing more than lying and making up excuses to explain the cause of the terrible things that is happening to his flock. At the core of his message, it is not their fault, it is other people and other spiritual forces responsible for the sins and transgressions that came from their own hands and hearts. By lying and perverting the truth, he seals his own fate and that of his flock, locking them into a state of non-repentance. And the sheep who listens to him, will never be able to recognize the truth because they spent all their church days accumulating and absorbing false knowledge, that they are not at fault, and if punishment befalls them, it is because others are doing bad spiritual things to them.

And the solution is not repentance but to keep on praying and praying until God caves in to their demands and command His angels to ward off the imaginary, bad spiritual forces that they thought are against them. That is how far and distorted, the teachings of this man is from the Word of God and the truth.

The Sad Truth

In the City Of Praise Rawang, the truth is often in a sad and sorry state. Blinded by their sins and transgression, God has hidden heavenly things from their sight and allowed them to be deceived by perversions of the truth, stemming from the mouths of false preachers they chose to listen to.

The flute was played for them, but they did not dance. And others mourned for them, but they did not lament. And in their unbelief of the truth, they remained stuck in pits dug by themselves, repeatedly trapped in vicious cycles of vain religiosity and going nowhere. Thus, they live their remaining days fully terrified of what lies ahead. They are people unsure of their own salvation, because basically they do not have salvation from the day they stepped into The City Of Praise Rawang, the false church they thought is real. What they have is nothing other than empty promises from a lying preacher, who repeatedly assures them with pretense and blessings from thin air.

These are the men mentioned by Christ as those who have heard the gospel and who have seen the mighty things done by God in their lives. But they never repented. And the Lord said that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for these men (Matthew 11:24).
